Free Home Sleep Test
Quality sleep is immensely beneficial for our health. In line with the IHH Healthcare's spirit of "Care. For Good.". Gleneagles is now offering a Free Home Sleep Test. This initiative allows 200 Gleneagles clients to use a sleep monitoring ring at no cost, helping them gain a more profound comprehension of their sleep patterns, assess their mental stress levels, and evaluate the risk of Sleep Apnea.
Understanding Sleep Quality
Sleep quality is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, reflecting how effectively you rest. Even with adequate sleep duration, many individuals experience daytime fatigue, indicating quality sleep may be lacking. A prolonged lack of good sleep can adversely impact mental health and elevate the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Poor sleep quality may also result from Sleep Apnea, which may cause hypoxia at night.
To raise awareness of sleep quality and facilitate the early detection of sleep-related health risks, Gleneagles clients are cordially invited to participate in a Free Home Sleep Test. This programme includes,
• Free use of a Belun sleep monitoring ring for a 3-night sleep test at home
• A follow-up consultation by a family doctor to review and explain the sleep health monitoring report
Eligible Persons
• Clients who have previously received services from Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong or Gleneagles Healthcare clinics
• Clients with chronic conditions (such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, etc.) who are followed up at Gleneagles Hospital will be given priority

FAQs
1. How can I conduct the sleep test at home?
We will deliver the Belun® Ring to you. Participants are required to wear the ring for 3-night before bedtime, with a recommendation to achieve at least 6 hours of sleep. After the testing, return the Ring through our courier service.
2. What data and conditions can the sleep monitoring ring analyse?
The sleep monitoring ring assesses the risk and severity of Sleep Apnea by measuring the user’s blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, pulse rate variations and motion intensity throughout the night. It also evaluates insomnia by monitoring sleep duration and disturbances. Additionally, it can provide insights into long-term stress levels by measuring the activity of the autonomic nervous system, while recording data on sleep duration, sleep stages, and interruptions.
3. What should I pay attention to before undergoing the sleep test?
Before the test, please:
- Avoid consuming food or drinks containing caffeine in the afternoon
- Refrain from drinking alcohol
- Avoid napping during the day
- Postpone the test date if you are feeling unwell
- Continue taking your prescribed medications as directed by your doctor
4. Who should not use the sleep monitoring ring?
- Individuals diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) or those undergoing sleep therapy using CPAP (a machine to help breathing).
- Those with injuries or physical malformation at the measuring spot, i.e. index finger
- Individuals with significant skin pigmentation at the measurement spot, such as tattoos or skin wounds, etc. Those with severe contact allergies to thermoplastic polyurethane material.
5. Does the sleep monitoring ring fall off easily during sleep?
The Sleep Ring has several sizes, and you will receive a guide to choose the most suitable size for yourself to ensure a smooth testing experience.
6. How long will it take to receive the report after the sleep test?
Our clinic staff will schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor, at which point we will connect to the ring system to read and analyse your sleep report.
