Head & Neck Tumour Centre

The Head & Neck Tumour Centre offers personalised treatment to achieve quality survival for patients with head & neck cancers.

Multidisciplinary Team Approach (MDT)

By adopting a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach, cancer cases will be discussed and evaluated by the dedicated MDT consisting of various specialists including general surgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, clinical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists and pathologists.

Regular MDT meetings will be convened for evaluation of all cancer cases to perform clinical assessment and staging, formulation of treatment and management strategies, monitoring of treatment response and outcome.

Apart from cancer cure, prevention of long-term complications and timely rehabilitation are essential to ensure good quality of life in survivors, and hence para-clinical professionals such as dietitians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, as well as clinical psychologists in the multi-disciplinary team will also contribute to the clinical management, post-treatment rehabilitation, and surveillance of treatment morbidities.

Clinical Case Manager

The team will have a nurse coordinator to work as a clinical case manager (CCM) to schedule the bookings and appointments of various radiology and pathology investigations, and surgical and oncology treatments planned for each patient.
