Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong greatly supports breastfeeding for its positive impact on babies, families and the community. Our Lactation Clinic provides professional and comprehensive pre-natal and post-natal support related to breastfeeding by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
A) Prenatal / Postnatal Counselling — Single
Participant(s): Couple / Individual
Ideal Months: 24 weeks or above of Pregnancy
Fee: HK$800
Topics: Information and advice on Breastfeeding, Breast care
1. Outpatient service
Fee: HK$1,200* per visit
Topics:
- Attachment and positioning assessment
- Breast milk expression technique: Hand expression/pumping
- Prevention and management of problems: Cracked nipples, engorgement, insufficient milk supply, etc.
- Assessment and suggestions to support the mother
- Nipple problems management: Inverted/retracted/flat nipples
- Mastitis/breast abscess/blocked duct/twins management
- Breast massage
- Infant oral assessment
*20 % off will be offered for mothers who gave birth at Gleneagles (For weekdays only except public holidays and not applicable to home visit service)
2. Home visit (For mothers who gave birth at Gleneagles only)
Fee: HK$1,800 per visit
B) Prenatal / Postnatal Counselling — Package
