Robotic Prostate Surgery (Prostatectomy)

Robotic prostatectomy is a minimally invasive surgery that uses highly flexible robotic arms to remove the prostate. The robotic arms can manoeuvre delicate tools in tight spaces with exceptional stability, paired with high-definition imaging cameras. This allows surgeons to operate with enhanced clarity and precision, significantly improving safety while shortening recovery time.

Advantages:

  • Less blood loss and reduced risk of infection
  • Smaller incisions and less noticeable scars
  • Less pain
  • Shorter hospital stays and faster recovery

Candidates for Robotic Prostatectomy:

  • Patients with early prostate cancer and certain patients at intermediate stage
  • Individuals medically fit for minimally invasive surgery

Patients are recommended to undergo assessments by our specialists to determine their suitability.

Lutetium-177-PSMA (Lu-177-PSMA) Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy

Lutetium-177-PSMA (Lu-177-PSMA) Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy is a targeted internal radiation therapy designed for metastatic prostate cancer. It uses a radioactive drug to precisely locate and destroy cancer cells while sparing most healthy tissue. This treatment offers new hope for patients with metastatic prostate cancer, including those who have not responded well to androgen treatment, chemotherapy or newer hormonal medications.

Advantages:

  • Precisely eliminate prostate cancer cells while sparing most healthy tissues in patients
  • Minimising the chance of radiation damage to surrounding organs
  • Side effects are generally mild and short-lived

Candidates for Lu-177-PSMA Therapy:

  • Advanced metastatic prostate cancer patients, especially those who have seen limited results from androgen treatment, chemotherapy or newer hormonal medications
  • Patients who have been assessed with the use of imaging to confirm radionuclide binding
  • Patients are recommended to undergo assessments by our specialists to determine their suitability
