Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is the first private hospital in Hong Kong to offer point-to-point non-emergency medical escort service

Terms & Conditions

  1. These subsidy schemes are designated point-to-point Medical Escort Service (Non-emergency) to/from Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong: 
    1. Full Fare Waiver Subsidy Scheme
      Applicable to patients admitted on a non-emergency basis who require an overnight hospital stay: Designated cost of medical escort service of the initial trip may be fully waived, up to HK$3,950. This Scheme does not apply to patients who have scheduled or arranged admissions.
    2. 50% Fare Waiver Subsidy Scheme
      Applicable to patients discharged from Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong or those who have completed designated medical services at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong: The cost of the basic medical escort service trip may be reduced by 50%, up to HK$1,975. The subsidy applies to the following medical services:


      1. 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency Services
      2. Specialist Outpatients Clinic Services
      3. Radiology Department
      4. Dialysis Centre Services and Rehabilitation Centre
      5. Discharge Services
  2. The above charges only covers designated cost of medical escort service, excluding any additional surcharge, such as those for accompanying medical personnel or equipment. Additional surcharge applies when additional medical equipment is required.
  3. Service available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the final appointment scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
  4. Additional surcharge applies during non-operating hours. 
  5. All requests for the above plans are subject to a mandatory clinical assessment and confirm whether the patient is applicable to the plans. If necessary, the patient will be assessed and approved for eligibility by one of the following doctors at Gleneagles:
    1. Doctor from Gleneagles TeleCare, or
    2. Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
  6. Service valid from now until further notice.

  8. Advance booking is required. Please specify Medical Escort Service (Non-emergency) at the time of booking.
  9. All charges must be settled before the use of service.
  10. The plans are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  11. The plans are only applicable within the Hong Kong territory and excludes the airport and Frontier Closed Area. Final confirmation of eligibility for the medical escort service subsidy will be subject to location verification.
  12. The payment made is not exchangeable for cash or other products. It is non-transferrable and non-refundable.
  13. The plans are provided to self-pay clients only, direct billing is not applicable.
  14. Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong reserves the right to amend any of the above terms and conditions. In case of any dispute, Gleneagles’ decision is final.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The price for the medical service will be charged based on the actual circumstances of each specific case.
  2. The medical service ambulance needs to be changed at the respective Checkpoint. Please handle the personal relevant cross-border clearance procedures on your own.
  3. The service will be available daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
  4. Advance booking is required. Please specify the Medical Escort Service (Non-emergency) at the time of booking.
  5. Enquiry and booking method: Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (+852) 3153 9100.
  6. This service provides non-emergency point-to-point medical escort to and from Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong. Mainland medical vehicles can self-arrange to the port or choose Amber Medical one-stop service, but vehicle transfer must still occur at the port.
  7. All charges must be settled before the use of service.
  8. Service arrangement is subject to availability.
  9. The payment is not exchangeable for cash or other products. It is non-transferrable and non- refundable.
  10. The service is provided to self-pay clients only, direct billing is not applicable.
  11. Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong reserves the right to amend any of the above terms and conditions without prior notice. In case of any dispute, Gleneagles’ decision is final.
