My surgeon, performing the 6+ hour operation, and guiding me through both the diagnostic and now recovery phases.

I felt both informed and reassured during our diagnostic discussions and planning. The successful procedure and especially the speed of recovery are amazing.

As I was saying, the nursing staff and indeed all care support personal on ward 5B were superb. I felt they were well prepared and equipped to ensure a successful post-surgery phase. They continued to provide very personal care when needed during the next few days – and especially nights.

The 2 physiotherapist who came to work with me were both very positive and friendly, providing step by step exercising instructions.

When I checked out on Tuesday, we were again assisted - without hesitation, right up to the taxi door.

Now back home, I am finding and enjoying renewed power in muscles that had become dormant, and exhilarated reflecting on the experience and especially the outcome.
