To assist members of the public in verifying the authenticity of SMS senders, Gleneagles has enroled under the SMS Sender Registration Scheme managed by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) which allows "Registered SMS Sender IDs" with the prefix "#" to send SMS to local subscribers of mobile services in Hong Kong. Starting from 25 June 2024, all one-way SMS messages sent by the hospital will be sent under the sender ID [#Gleneagles] which was previously identified as [GHK]. 

Please note that the SMS Sender Registration Scheme is not applicable to: 

• Overseas mobile numbers 
• Two-way SMS messages of which receiving parties are expected to reply to the senders via phone numbers
• Local subscribers of Single-Card-Multiple-Numbers / One-Card-Two-Numbers mobile service provided by non-Hong Kong operators
