Job Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of the business strategy of IHH Healthcare Berhad
- Ensure all clinical processes and procedures are in line with the best practices of the University of Hong Kong governance and standard
- Provide leadership in the recruitment, development and retention of nurses in partnership with nursing teams and HR department
- Conduct performance evaluation of Nurse Managers / Nursing staff
- Hold the accountability and coordinate with unit managers to implement staff orientation, in service training and staff development programs
- Effectively provide communications to nursing staffs on hospital’s vision, mission and values
- Assess competency mix across the organization and facilitate any allocation changes requested by Nurse Managers
- Ensure that clinical policies and procedures are in line with the hospital’s system, thus guiding nursing practice
- Lead, facilitate and promote patient’s clinical safety and risk management practices amongst nursing teams
- Facilitate hospital occurrence reviews based on clinical incident data
- Lead and facilitate nursing and across functional committees and projects, ensuring Workplace Safety and Health Culture of the team
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Serve as a change agent and drive initiatives on service quality
- Act as mentor, coach and counselor to Senior Nurse Managers and Nurse Managers, be a role model of the nursing team
- Respond to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner
- Foster sound professional collaborative relationships with clinical leadership team and the public
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing with a post-graduate Master Degree in Nursing or Healthcare / Heath Services discipline
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification clinical experience with at least 2 years in a senior nursing management role, previous experience in similar functions will be an advantage
- Post registration specialty qualifications
- Possess a valid / current nursing practicing certificate in Hong Kong
- Good competency in clinical and technical aspects
- Experience in Quality and Risk Management
- Strong leadership with hands-on management skills, and influencing skills
- Be able to actively get involved in nursing recruitment, training and development activities
- Staff coaching and mentoring skill is essential
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese Languages
