Job Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for the management to best evaluate the operational performance of GHK in order to enhance patient services and meet doctors’ requirements
  • Liaise with Department of Health and other regulatory departments in observing licensing requirement and fulfilling service deed requirement
  • Contribute to the development of new services and expand and enhance existing services to achieve the hospital’s growth targets
  • Support the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems or other assets and resources that best meet the Hospital’s business needs
  • Assist the CEO in developing goals / objectives for service development, physician engagement and clinical quality, and ensure their achievement and delivery in the most cost-effective way
  • Contribute to the process/ workflow improvement efforts in GHK, drive service quality improvement and clinical quality improvement
  • Work with HKU to drive the development of clinical services in GHK
  • Support doctor engagement and recruitment efforts, in order to achieve targeted hospital growth through a productive physician group
  • Assist the Medical Board, Clinical Governance Committee and sub-committees in carrying out their responsibilities
  • Enhance relationships among the medical community and affiliated hospitals / entities in the same group
  • Monitor and coordinate the review of all activities conducted by medical staff, as required by accrediting or licensing agencies
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review all professional policies
  • Co-ordinate and drive ACHS accreditation; lead preparation of quality system audits and gap analysis
  • Oversee internal quality system audits

Requirements

  • An undergraduate medical degree, a Master’s in Business Administration / Healthcare Management is preferred but not a must
  • Over 5 years’ relevant experience in healthcare industry, preferably in Hospital field
  • Working knowledge of healthcare process engineering, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospital administration
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of hospital management and operations
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relations with staff, physicians, patients, families, government agencies / personnel and the general public
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
