Gleneagles Medical Clinic Central, Hong Kong now open
To provide a range of general and specialist outpatient services
(4 March 2019 – Hong Kong) Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital (GHK) opened its first satellite medical clinic, Gleneagles Medical Clinic Central, Hong Kong (GMC), on 1 March 2019. Conveniently located in Asia Standard Tower in Central, GMC provides a range of services including general and specialist outpatient consultation, health screening services, vaccination etc.
Mr Dirk Schraven, Chief Executive Officer of GHK said, “After two years of operation, GHK is ready to expand its capacity to serve more patients and enhance our offering and services to our existing patients.” “It is our first step in extending the geographical reach of our services. We will continue to review and develop the services of the satellite clinic, and in the longer run, we will consider expansion in other strategic locations when appropriate,” Mr Schraven added.
Served by a team of general practitioner and medical specialists, covering Behavioural Health (Psychiatry), Cardiology, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, General Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Orthopaedics etc, clinic patients can be referred to GHK for further diagnostic investigations and treatments where necessary. The satellite clinic also brings additional value to GHK patients as patients now enjoy the additional option of receiving follow-up consultations in many disciplines at the clinic in Central in a seamless manner.
The launch of the satellite clinic is another initiative signifying GHK’s move into its next stage of development which includes increasing its service capacity and offering highly-specialised treatments. Last December, GHK announced the opening of the Joint Replacement Centre which has presented excellent clinical outcomes through its fast-track surgery and recovery approach to knee replacement. And more recently, GHK has started expanding its Cardiology Clinic and Health Screening Centre to offer patients a better service experience and meet increasing demand.
