(29 March 2022 – Hong Kong) Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (Gleneagles) has been providing outpatient care to COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms and patients with other medical needs through its 24-hour Emergency and Outpatient Department. To further support the city to fight against the fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gleneagles will launch its COVID-19 Outpatient Service from 31 March to provide medical care to COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms.

In a bid to enable COVID-19 patients to receive care in a more efficient and smoother manner, Gleneagles will launch its COVID-19 Outpatient Service from 31 March for people who tested positive in rapid antigen tests or nucleic acid tests in the past 14 days with mild respiratory tract symptoms. Members of the public may make an appointment for the service through the hospital’s online booking system. The service will be provided to patients aged 15 or above. 

The COVID-19 Outpatient Service includes a doctor consultation, basic prescription medicines and nursing procedures at a fee of HK$500. If deemed necessary, the doctor may arrange further diagnostic imaging, nucleic acid testing and extra medication appropriate to patient’s condition (additional charges apply).

Members of the public attending the service are required to submit their results of rapid antigen test or nucleic acid test on the relevant online self-reporting system launched by the Centre for Health Protection, and present the confirmation SMS before the consultation.

Meanwhile, patients who have made appointments for Gleneagles’ COVID-19 Outpatient Service can book the designated taxis for free transport services between Gleneagles and their residences through the dedicated booking platform (www.designatedtaxihk.com) or through the hotline at 3693 4770.
