(20 February 2020 – Hong Kong) Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (Gleneagles) has launched a programme which offers 70 surgical procedures at special prices for public hospital patients with the aim of helping patients who are affected by the reduction in certain surgeries at public hospitals and alleviating the burden on public hospitals amid the coronavirus disease outbreak.

Offered through all-inclusive medical packages, the procedures cover a spectrum of specialties including orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology and general surgery. From today until 31 May 2020, patients with appointments scheduled for specialist outpatient services at public hospitals are eligible to join medical packages at a reduction of 20% from the original package fees. Surgical packages offered at special prices include kidney stone treatment, haemorrhoidectomy and knee ligament reconstruction.

Special offers on elective and emergency caesarean section maternity packages are also made for prospective mothers with antenatal appointments at public hospitals or clinics. Gleneagles offers a fee cap of $5,000 for additional services incurred, if any, that are excluded from the packages during hospital stay to provide extra peace of mind and fee certainty to patients.
