(24 March 2026 – Hong Kong) Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (Gleneagles), part of the IHH Healthcare multinational network, has recently adjusted its fees for its 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency services, including a reduction of up to 40% in consultation fees which aims to provide greater accessibility to quality and timely medical care. The price adjustments are complemented by the launch of the new fixed-price medication care pack plans to offer patients greater fee transparency and predictability, ensuring extra peace of mind. The revised fees and new medication packages took effect on 1 July 2026.  

The fee adjustments cover multiple service periods, including a 20% to 40% reduction in outpatient consultation fees during evening and midnight hours on Sundays and public holidays. Meanwhile, the newly introduced 3-day and 5-day fixed-price medication care pack plans costing HK$120 and HK$150 respectively are applicable to common illnesses such as upper respiratory tract infections, mild gastrointestinal ailments, acute allergic and skin conditions, as well as pain and inflammation. Depending on the patient's condition, doctors may prescribe up to five drugs from a designated medication list under the package. Additional medications may also be prescribed, where clinically appropriate, at an extra cost. 

Through these enhancements to its 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency services, Gleneagles hopes to further enhance accessibility to prompt medical care, particularly during Sundays, public holidays, and evening or midnight periods when many clinics are unavailable. The fee adjustment and fixed-price medication care pack plans enable patients to better anticipate their medical expenses, encouraging those in need to seek timely medical attention and appropriate treatment. It is also hoped the initiatives will offer members of the public additional options of timely medical services whilst helping to alleviate pressure on public Accidents and Emergency services.
