Guest of Honour The Honourable Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, officiated at the ceremony.

GHK entered service a year ago and is now in full operation to provide innovative, transparent and high-quality healthcare services to the Hong Kong people. It has been receiving positive reviews from both patients and doctors, registering steady month-on-month growth in service demands.

During the year, GHK has rolled out a number of new services, including 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency services which provide round-the-clock emergency medical services with a team of Emergency Medicine specialists and General Practitioners. Added to the suite of services were the Radiotherapy and Oncology Centre, Dialysis Centre and more specialist outpatient clinics.  The hospital has commenced its Positron Emission Tomography – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (PET-MR) service with the second PET-MR scanner installed in Hong Kong. GHK has also recently launched its Obstetrics and Neonatal services.

GHK leverages the group’s global network and international experience to bring in new technologies and concepts and best practice.

Dato’ Mohammed Azlan bin Hashim, Chairman of IHH Healthcare, said: “Gleneagles Hong Kong is the paradigm of a unique and strategic private-academic partnership between Parkway Pantai, NWS Holdings and The University of Hong Kong, connecting international healthcare expertise and top-notch facility infrastructure with academically-founded clinical governance. With an aspiration to help shape Hong Kong’s private healthcare via innovation, transparency and service, it is our privilege to play a role in the transformation of healthcare in Hong Kong.”

Striving to be a pioneer in providing transparent private healthcare, GHK is the only private hospital in Hong Kong to provide all-inclusive, fixed-price packages and pre-admission fee advisory service to patients. These new concepts offer price certainty and transparency to ensure patients are well informed of and well advised on their bill size before admission. At present, GHK provides over 120 medical packages covering a wide spectrum of procedures. In addition, the hospital has been working closely with insurance companies to manage healthcare costs for patients. Other innovative medical technologies and state-of-the-art equipment GHK has brought to service include the automated medication dispensing system and the 24-hour fully-automated core laboratory track system.

Mr Tsang Yam Pui, Executive Director and CEO of NWS Holdings, said: “We take pride in our tripartite partnership between Parkway Pantai, The University of Hong Kong and NWS Holdings Limited. This unique combination of expertise in hospital management, excellence in clinical service, and construction and facilities management provide a solid foundation for this hospital to deliver quality service to the people of Hong Kong. We reaffirm our undertaking to deliver high-quality healthcare services while contributing to the training and development of healthcare professionals in Hong Kong.”

GHK boasts a sound clinical governance framework through the collaboration with its exclusive clinical partner HKU, which ensures the highest standards of medical practice and continuous improvement in clinical services and patient care.  GHK is also committed to contributing to the development and training of healthcare professionals in Hong Kong.  Last month, GHK commenced teaching of medical students in collaboration with HKU.
