Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong expands its Central outpatient clinic to meet growing demand

(21 October 2020 – Hong Kong) Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (Gleneagles) has recently relocated and expanded its satellite clinic, Gleneagles Medical Clinic Central, to accommodate continuous growth in demand for its quality services.

Gleneagles opened its first satellite medical clinic in Central in 2019 to provide a spectrum of outpatient services at a convenient location. Through the clinic, patients receive seamless referrals to the hospital for further investigation or treatment when necessary, and patients of Gleneagles also enjoy the option of receiving post-treatment follow-ups at the satellite clinic.

Located at New World Tower in Central, the new clinic provides primary healthcare services including general and specialist outpatient consultation, health screening, vaccination, etc. It offers services of diverse specialties covering Cardiology, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, General Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Paediatrics, Respiratory Medicine and more. The expanded clinic is equipped with additional and advanced equipment to allow delivery of more comprehensive diagnostic investigations and treatments. Under the Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong – The University of Hong Kong Women’s Health Collaborative Service, the clinic also offers screening services to patients referred by Queen Mary Hospital’s Colposcopy Clinic and those of the former HKU Lady Helen Woo Women’s Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.

Mr Dirk Schraven, Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles, said, "Committed to bringing innovation and fee transparency to Hong Kong's private healthcare, Gleneagles has been gaining more and more trust from patients and doctors. As our brand and services continue to grow, we see the need to expand the service scope and specialties we offer at the satellite clinic. With a more central location and more comprehensive services, we believe that this new clinic will offer an even better care and service experience to our patients.”

The satellite clinic expansion follows the hospital’s earlier launches of teleconsultation service in various specialties including Oncology, Cardiology, General Surgery and Respiratory Medicine, as well as general medical consultation via the DrGo mobile app. “We will continue to leverage innovation and technology to enhance the way health care is delivered. We are also excited about creating new digital service experience for our patients in the near future,” Mr Schraven added.
