Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives across hospital operations
  • Collaborate with business users to gather data requirements and deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights
  • Coordinate with the Group Data Team to align on data platform architecture, standards, and governance policies
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through robust validation, monitoring, and compliance practices
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for structured and unstructured data from diverse hospital systems
  • Support AI and machine learning projects by preparing high-quality datasets and integrating model outputs into operational workflows
  • Document data assets and workflows to promote transparency, reusability, and cross-functional understanding
  • Mentor junior engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • With at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics in enterprise environments
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in building and optimizing data pipelines
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including data lake and warehouse solutions
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management
  • Experience with ETL tools and real-time data streaming
  • Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, including data preparation and model integration into production systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is highly desirable
