Job Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques
  • Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images
  • Performs clinical duties
  • Takes responsibility for radiation safety in the work area
  • Supervises junior radiographers, supporting staff, students and delivering appropriate education and training
  • Participates actively in the quality assurance process
  • Ensures all health and safety policies and procedures pertaining to department are observed 
  • Any other reasonable duty that may be assigned from time to time


  • Bachelor Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Registered Part II or Part I (Cat D) Radiographer
  • 8 years’ relevant experience as a radiographer in Ultrasonography.
  • Accredited Diploma/Certificate as Sonographer such as Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
  • Radiographic technical skills and knowledge
  • Team work and supervision skills 
  • Quality assurance
