Special discount for HA patients who have hand or neurological-related problems

The Hand Surgery and Paralytic Reconstruction Centre focuses on the health of local citizens. In view of this, the Centre has launched a special programme for patients who are waiting at the public hospitals. Patients who are suffering from hand or neurological-related problems and waiting at public hospitals under the Hospital Authority (HA) could consult our specialist(s) at a special rate.  For those who require surgery, they could choose to undergo the surgery at Gleneagles at a discounted rate, or be referred back to a public hospital for the surgery.

The patient journey and the fee

Patients can consult our specialist(s) at our Centre at a discounted rate of HKD$350*. If the patient requires an operation after the assessment, one can choose to undergo the surgery at Gleneagles, with a substantial discount. A detailed quotation will be provided to the patient prior to the surgery for consideration. For those who want to undergo the surgery at a public hospital, our doctors will also write a referral letter to refer the patient back to a public hospital for follow-up.

Eligibility and Enrolment

This programme is only applicable to those patients who are consulting doctors in a public hospital’s Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology under the HA and suffer from hand surgery disease, neurological diseases, post-stroke spasticity, or other paralytic conditions. Interested patients are required to send the appointment slip issued by the HA to our Centre (Email: ), and leave the contact method in the email. Patients who are shown to be suffering from hand or neurological-related problems will be contacted by our staff to make the initial consultation appointment. Please note that the patients with higher medical urgency would be seen by our doctors earlier.

*The $350 consultation fee does not include additional items such as X-ray or lab charges.

1. The offers are only applicable to patients suffering in hand or neurological related problems, being diagnosed with hand surgery diseases, neurological diseases, post-stroke spasticity, or other paralytic conditions.
2. Eligible patients will be contacted by our staff from Hand Surgery and Paralytic Reconstruction Centre for making an initial consultation appointment. Eligible patients refer to the existing patients of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology under the Hospital Authority (HA). Interested patients are required to send the appointment slip issued by the HA to our Centre via email () and indicate in the email your preferred contact method.
3. The above offer is valid from 9 September 2024 until further notice.
4. Under the special programme for designated HA patients with hand or neurological related problems, eligible patients can enjoy the specialist’s consultation at HK$350. The special offer does not include additional items such as X-ray or laboratory charges.
5. To enjoy the offer, the consultation appointments must be made and conducted within the offer period.
6. Advance booking is required. The offer must be managed and confirmed by a designated specialist of Orthopaedics & Traumatology at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong.
7. After consultation, patients may choose to undergo the surgery at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong. Gleneagles will provide appropriate treatment options and special discount to patients according to individual’s conditions.
8. The discounts are off­ered to patients paying directly in cash or by credit card only, and not applicable to direct billing claims.
9. The off­ers cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional o­ffers; it cannot be exchangeable for cash or other product. The offer is non-transferrable and non-refundable.
10. Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong reserves the right to amend any of the above terms and conditions without prior notice. In case of any dispute, Gleneagles’ decision is final.
