Assistant Material Management Manager (Warehouse)

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate & non-interrupt supply of materials in a timely manner through proactive planning and careful management
  • Maintain a system of material management controls to ensure the supply and delivery of inventories will be handled in a more organized, efficient and effective manner
  • lead a warehouse team and perform supervisory duties within the warehousing process
  • Identify service lapse and seek process improvements through automation or streamlining
  • manage resources in terms of manpower and spacing, allocation effectively to maximize productivity while demand fluctuates
  • provide services to the hospitals and support all wards/departments needs
  • layout the floor plan properly and comply with Hospital Health and Safety regulations
  • organize and control warehouse processes in a cost effective way
  • provide accurate and complete reports on time
  • perform regular inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Perform any duty as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Logistics / Warehousing Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in procurement and store operations of which at least 2 years at supervisory level
  • Previous experience in healthcare industry is an advantage
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Applications
