Health Information and Records Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical coding using ICD-10 and CPT
  • Handle and process Data Access Requests from patients and third parties
  • Handle and respond to phone enquiry related to Medical Records
  • Liaise with other departments on areas related to health information and records management
  • Handling of Hospital Forms and standardization
  • Assist in Hospital continuous quality improvement projects and conduct regular audits
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Manager


  • A university degree from the Health Care discipline or equivalent; with at least 2 years of Hospital administrative experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience within a medical environment preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good communication and customer service skills, self-initiative and responsible
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work commitments to achieve specific deadlines
  • Candidate with less experience will be offered the post of Assistant Health Information & Records Officer
