Job Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the Sample Reception Bench of the Core Laboratory, Department of Clinical Laboratory for correct handling of send-in and send-out patient samples.

• Data processing to register patient specimens to corresponding requested test orders; assist in ordering of stock items and update of received items into inventory system for reagents and consumables.

• Co-ordinate to send out specimen processes, tracking records and returning reports dispatch and uploading into HIS and correct document filing.

• Check billing and send out test invoices to prepare for test charge payments by Finance Department.

• Provide executive supports to senior LAB staff (SMT and ALM) in managing the Document Control System of the Core Laboratory according to laboratory accreditation workflow and standards.

• Prepare meeting materials and record meeting notes; maintain staff professional training and continuous education records.

• Liaison with other laboratories in the public or private sectors, or suppliers for arrangements of tests or services when required.

• Duties as assigned by laboratory in-charge.

Requirements

  • Holder of a degree in Science, or Management with relevant experience in a Clinical Pathology Laboratory.

  • Knowledge of HIS or LIS operation would be an advantage

  • Good competency in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT

  • Good communication skills.

  • Proficient in written and spoken in both English and Chinese.
