放射治療及腫瘤科中心
放射治療是最常見的癌症治療方法之一。由於不同癌症對輻射有不同的反應，所以在處理癌症時，有時會單獨使用放射治療，亦可以配合其他治療方法，如外科手術、化學治療、標靶治療、賀爾蒙藥等。
放射治療是透過使用特殊高科技設備向身體內的癌細胞發送高能量的輻射，這些輻射線可針對生長分裂較快的癌細胞加以破壞，而正常細胞由於修復能力較好，只要好好規劃放射治療的位置及適合的放射劑量，便可控制癌細胞生長，並且可減低因正常細胞在治療過程中受傷害所引起的副作用。 由於放射治療是一種局部治療，它只會影響被照射的身體部份，這亦是與化學治療的最大分別。

放射治療一般流程
港怡醫院腫瘤科醫生或病人的私家醫生會與病人會面，商量治療計劃，包括詳細解釋治療細節及風險等事宜。
為有效提升治療的準確度，放射治療師會按不同治療方案的需要，為病人製作合適的固定模具。
根據治療需要，我們會安排病人在本中心進行電腦設計掃描，這些影像資料將幫助我們為病人設計出一個合適的治療方案。
醫生會根據病人的情況，利用先進醫療電腦，定出治療範圍，並由我們的團隊為病人設計出具體計劃。
此時病人可稍稍休息，為即將開始的放射療程作準備。而我們的醫生、放射治療師及物理學家團隊正緊密合作，為治療方案進行各樣的測試及覆核程序。
放射治療師將邀請病人到治療室進行精確的放射治療。在第一次接受療程前，治療師會詳細解釋各注意事項。我們的整個護理團隊將照顧及協助病人完成療程。
